Description

This is a picture I drew of myself. I took pictures of myself and I loved the way my clothes folded in this picture, so I just had to draw the pants, and then I went ahead and drew the rest of meh body. Enjoy!

Ok here is my super advanced critique. Im going to point out any flaws so if you enjoy this picture and dont want to be bugged with them dont read.

First is the rating 8-1/2 out of 10.

The good: OK there is alot to cover. Fist off the pose is well chosen, your purportions are dead on. Of course the most inpressive part is the pants. But more importantly, your shading on the pants is extreemly impressive, you have improved alot sence I last checked. The shading accents the pants well. It would be nice to see more shading in more pics. Shading above all can set the mood in the picture, here its verry light and well blended, its a verry calm and laid back look.

The bad: While the pants where good the rest of the body could have used the same shading. When you look at the picture your eyes are immedatly drawn to the pants and then you look up the body and its just not as impressive. Though it is well hiddin, you seem to have trobble drawing hands. The eyes are off, but you know what everyone almost always has the eyes off a little but others cover that up with shading. It would have been alot harder to see if you had shaded. 90% of all mistakes can be fixed byt shading.

Closing comments: All your mistakes ( though small.) can be fixed by more shading. Id love to see a picture that you used to draw this. Oh and a bit of advice (not that you need advice from me, we are about the same level.) When I draw, the most imporent thing for me to do is set a mood or emotion. Pose and shading are key to that. Watch movies, the best ones have good lighting and great camera angles ( at least in action.)

Good job
